Administration

The President

The President is the legal representative of ISIA Pescara, convening and chairing the Board of Directors. The President is appointed by the Minister from a shortlist of three candidates designated by the Academic Council, chosen for their high professional and managerial qualifications and proven experience in managing cultural institutions.

The term of office is three years, with the possibility of one consecutive renewal

The current President of ISIA Pescara is Dr. Luciano Carullo. Dott. Alessandro Germano.

The Director

The Director is responsible for the institution's academic, scientific, and research activities, convening and chairing the Academic Council. The Director is elected by the faculty from among those who have at least five years of teaching experience in the field and specific expertise in design.

The Director may appoint collaborators from the teaching staff to coordinate the smooth running of academic and research activities. The term of office for the Director is three years, with the possibility of one consecutive renewal. The current Director of ISIA Pescara is Prof. Alessandro Crociata.

Academic Council

The Academic Council is one of the governing bodies of ISIA Pescara and consists of nine members: the Director, who chairs the Council, six faculty members elected by the faculty board, and two student representatives elected by the student body.

The Academic Council is responsible for determining the directions and planning of academic, scientific, and research activities, monitoring their development over time, enacting regulations and acts necessary for the proper conduct of teaching, and promoting strategies for managing the Institute.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is one of the governing bodies of ISIA Pescara and consists of five members: the President, the Director, a faculty member designated by the Academic Council, a student designated by the Student Council, and an administrative expert appointed by the Minister.

The Board of Directors implements the directions and development plans for teaching and research defined by the Academic Council, sets goals and programs for administrative management, and promotes initiatives to enhance the Institute’s instrumental and financial resources.

Evaluation Unit

To monitor and evaluate the efficiency and performance of the Institute's activities, the Board of Directors appoints an Evaluation Unit composed of three members with diverse competencies and proven expertise in evaluation.

Il Nucleo di Valutazione valuta i risultati dell’attività didattica e scientifica, verifica l’utilizzazione ottimale delle risorse, acquisisce periodicamente le opinioni degli studenti sulle attività didattiche, redige una relazione annuale sulle attività e sul funzionamento dell’Istituzione che successivamente trasmette al MUR ed è attualmente costituito dai seguenti membri:

Auditors

The auditors are responsible for verifying administrative regularity and overseeing the legality and correctness of administrative actions.

They are appointed by MUR decree, with one auditor designated by the Ministry of Education, Universities, and Research, and one by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Faculty Board

The Faculty Board is composed of the Director, who serves as the chair, and all the faculty members of ISIA Pescara. The Faculty Board supports the activities of the Academic Council.

Student Council

The Student Council is composed of three students elected by the student body.

The Student Council can address requests and make proposals to the Academic Council and the Board of Directors, particularly concerning the organization of academic activities and student services.

The term of office for the Student Council is three years, with the possibility of one consecutive renewal for outgoing members.
